Appointments for Counselling

  • Counselling Brisbane and Counselling Ipswich: We provide counselling at our offices in Moorooka and Booval, while Skype and telephone appointments are also available for your convenience.
  • A GP referral is not necessary to make an appointment at Creative Life Solutions however may be required if you wish to access a Medicare rebate (see note on Medicare Rebate below).
  • To make your own appointment please feel free to use the secure online booking available on this website.
  • Alternatively, you may call the office number and I will assist you with your appointment / enquiry.
  • After your first appointment has been scheduled you will receive an information pack. This email will confirm your appointment and provide you with the relevant forms to be completed and brought with you to your first appointment.

Medicare Rebate

Whether you are looking for Skype, telephone, Brisbane or Ipswich counselling at Creative Life Solutions, a Medicare rebate is only available when referred by a GP with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). With a MHTP you are eligible to receive a $74.80 Medicare rebate for up to ten counselling sessions per calendar year, leaving an out of pocket cost of $75.20 per session.

Fees and Payment

The cost of a 50 minute consultation is $160. Payment is required at the end of each session by cash or EFTPOS. To confirm your online appointment full payment is required 48hrs prior to session.

What happens at an appointment?

During the initial appointment we work together to gain a shared understanding of what brings you to Creative Life Solutions, and what it is you would like to achieve. We will identify the goals of care and develop a treatment plan to help you achieve the best possible outcome.

Skype and telephone appointments offer more flexibility to you as a client. If the times currently available do not suit you, please contact me to discuss alternative times which may be negotiated.

Cancellation Policy

I pride myself on the care and consideration I give to my clients. Whist I realise unforseen situations may occur from time to time I would really appreciate at least 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment.  I can than offer your appointment to someone on my waiting list and reschedule a more suitable time for you.

Appointments not attended or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $75 late fee to assist with covering the cost of the session.

Confidentiality

As part of providing a counselling service to you, I will need to collect and record personal information that is relevant to your situation. This information is a necessary part of the assessment, planning and counselling service.

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers are bound by a code of ethics, which includes maintaining confidentiality. However, there may be exceptional circumstances where I may need to discuss your information with others, such as when there is concern about your safety or the safety of others. Please feel free to speak with me regarding the situations in which your information may need to be shared with appropriate people.
