The Connections workshop draws on evidenced based strategies to help you recognise shame as a universal experience and embrace authentic living as a foundation for shame resilience. Topics include
Connections engages you on a cognitive, behavioural, and interpersonal level. You will learn via group and personal exercises, handouts, and reading assignments from Brene Brown’s best-selling books I thought It Was Just Me (but it isn’t): Telling the Truth About Perfectionism, Inadequacy, and Power.
Dr Brene Brown, the creator of Connections, is a writer, researcher, educator and activist. She is an award-winning member of the research faculty at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work, where she has spent the past ten years studying authenticity, belonging, and shame, and the effect these powerful emotions have on the way we live, love, parent, work, and build relationships.
